Your first appointment will be for one hour and a full history of your health issues will be considered in the context of lifetime health and wellness, your family history, past history, current medication and supplements.
A diagnosis and treatment plan/protocol will guide general advice, set goals and inform choosing herbs for your prescription in the context of good food and adequate sleep.
The aim of your course of treatment is to improve general health including the issues that attracted you to the herbal approach to health in the first place.
We have a very realistic approach to changing health patterns, it may take a little while but hopefully it will be satisfying to learn how to look after the most precious gift of good health.

Lara Jonasdottir

Lara Jonasdottir is a qualified Medical Herbalist who offers herbal consultations in Galway alongside Dr. Clare.

Qualifications: Lara first became interested in herbs for their medicinal effects during her floristry training in the Agricultural College in Iceland. This led her to move to London to obtain a BSc in Herbal Medicine from the University of Westminster. Since graduating from University of Westminster, Lara has undertaken further herbal medicine studies including a 2 year Herbal Medicine training programme provided by David Winston, a leading Herbalist based in the US as well as an ‘Herbal Medicine for Women’ course provided by Dr. Aviva Romm. Lara furthermore holds post graduate diploma in Clinical Education as well as having massage and reflexology qualifications.
